Even if everything goes right during development, once software services are released they're a target for hackers. And if they care enough about the offering, sooner or later it's getting hacked. This talk walks through the process of working with internal development, distribution partners and the world outside (bug finders, customers and the press) when security issues arise. The information provided scales to fit small shops and large ones, and may help keep things running smoothly even when products aren't being actively attacked.
At the end of the talk, attendees will understand the basics of security incident response for teams of all sizes. They'll be able to draw up a plan suited to their team's needs and capabilities to tackle the technical aspects of security issues, the operational issues of deployment, and the process of communicating with concerned customers, press and hackers (friendly or otherwise).
